The Process

Finding cool, old radios is just the first step in the process of transformation. Bringing something old back into working order takes time, patience and dedication. Once we find a radio the work has just begun. We meticulously go through the electrical components - restoring and replacing parts as well as adding modern technology - making each radio sing again. Rechargeable batteries are added to our portable radios to allow them to be used anywhere you can dream of listening to good music. They are cleaned and shined by hand, anything that may have gone missing over the years is replaced and great attention to the historical detail is taken. Each radio is as authentically restored both aesthetically and electronically as possible. Each radio is a hours long labor of love (and sometimes frustration) - but the moment it gets to play for hours in the kitchen and get it’s head shots is a celebration of restoration. Because of the nature of the process, each radio is one of a kind. If you like a radio, buy it - you may never see another at Re-Radio. We also will always have a limited inventory - only replenished after the hours of restoration have been done for a new set of radios.
